Robert, love that term, Magalomaniacs - it will resonate with those of us who have started to order Canadianos.

One of the three of us Postcards founders, was at a pro-Canada rally recently and saw a sign that says it all - True North Strong and Peeved!

Thank you Kristin for so clearly putting this sadistic madness into relatable human terms so all can understand how violating and perverse are these ambitions of a few "Magalomaniacs"

I wish we were following John Lennon's "Imagine" right now.

Thank you Alice Goldbloom, Sylvie Lamoureux, and Kristin Shannon for creaing this forum.

I can hear a trumpet blaring out a rallying cry - da da da dum de da! - in another forum - it's Dutchie in Montreal - urging Les Canadiens on to victory.

I think Trump has dropped the ball but here we are saying "OK drop the puck!" we are ready

It's nice to feel family support beefing up our Substack figures. We're looking for a post from you too. Thanks Craigo for being patient when we go into resistance mode. Canadians everywhere are speaking out, standing side by side with each other, remembering that David vanquished Goliath, who was nothing more than a sad, mad, old bully.

I of course am reduced to tears.I have been alot these past few weeks. Some of those tears are of rage, an inexplicable feeling of betrayal, most tho are from a place I didn't really ever pay heed to,a place of fierce enormous pride.

I have never truly felt more on guard for thee until now.

I have always been like most Canadians I think, quietly proud ,occasionally absolutely nutter crazy proud when it comes to our hockey and our athletes, head nodding proud of the amazing talent that went south and makes the whole world laugh or cry depending on the film the venue or the song.

I am grateful for this frightening moment.Weird I know but I am shaken from a complacent slumber and I am aroused like never before.

I am engaged in our politics and writing letters and throwing up elbows and prouder than I have ever been More informed than I have ever been and more ready to fight however I must to ensure and maintain our sovereignty. Britain has let us down but I now see fully that we Canadians will not let each other down .I AM CANADIAN

Thank you, kind Sharon. I have zero idea how to accomplish that, but will look into it. Your support is very meaningful to us and in the end is evidence of how much we have to unite us.

This needs to be in all major US papers/media! I’m old enough to remember published Letters to the Editor :) but seriously, have you considered sending it to the papers there?

Cassandra, thank you for the kudos - some great writing and insights coming your way with this initiative of ours. Can't tell you how lucky we feel to have these exchanges - communication leads to unity; even when we don't always agree, we can always search for common ground.

Thank you Kristin. So well said. No, I can't imagine living in a world like that and I refuse to live in such a world. Hopefully our neighbours will wake up on time before we sink together in an ocean of hate, disdain, intimidation and so much more.

To our kind first time readers, a huge thank you for taking the time to read this. If we can impose on you further, please send this new Substack if you think it worthwhile to your friends both in Canada, the US and elsewhere. We know we are in the company of extraordinary writers in this Substack community whose facility with language is a thing of beauty and privation. Our principal thought however is to share and amplify your and our feelings about being Canadian. We will all learn something along the way. Sending gratitude for your support.
